Designer Laser Vaginoplasty (DLV) enhances the appearance of the vaginal area through surgical alteration. After the consultation, the plastic surgeon may alter the appearance of the hymen, labia minora, labia majora, perineum, mons pubis, and introitus to meet the client’s desires. Women who are uncomfortable with the appearance of their vagina may endure an unfulfilled sexual life due to embarrassment. Sexual pleasure may also be affected due to friction if the construction of the labia is abnormal. Vaginoplasty assists individuals in achieving a more aesthetically appealing vulva area.
The labia minora may be altered if a woman’s inner lips of the vagina extend beyond the outer lips of the vagina. This condition may occur as a result of trauma, injury or aging. In this instance, laser reduction sculpts the labia minora to reaches the client’s desire.
Clients may choose to either augment the labia or remove unwanted fat from the labia. Fat transplants may be employed to give the labia majora a more youthful appearance. This procedure is called Augmentation Labioplasty. Vulvar Lipoplasty removes excess fat from the labia majora and the mons pubis. Liposculpturing may also decrease fatty tissue in the area through a specialized liposuction procedure. Each procedure will yield a more aesthetically appealing appearance.
In the event, the hymen is severed during an accident, physicians will repair the hymen. Physicians can only repair or reconstruct the hymen through Hymenoplasty if no intercourse has ever occurred. If the perineum is sagging due to aging, Laser Perineoplasty can restore the perineum to its youthful appearance. This procedure also corrects the aging and sagging effects of the labia majora and labia minora.
Designer Laser Vaginoplasty and Laser Vaginal Reduction may both be performed during a single surgery. Inquire with a qualified surgeon prior to receiving this type of cosmetic surgery to determine if the client is a good candidate for the procedure. Most women who experience a discomfort caused by the abnormal labia tissues or who desire to improve the appearance to increase sexual confidence are candidates for either surgery. A woman with genital sores is not a good candidate for either surgery.
Procedures involve the patient receiving a mild anesthetic and reconstructing the labia with a laser. Most procedures are completed in an hour or less and require a day or two of healing. The pain is minimal. There will be some swelling, mild discomfort and redness. If the damage is major, an overnight hospital stay may be required, as well as, several days of recovery.
